From March 3-5 we embarked on a two night, mini-cruise aboard Cunard's Queen Victoria, departing from our home town/port of Brisbane to Sydney.

Ship Inspection of Oceania's Marina

On February 20, 2014, Oceania's Marina docked at Portside in Brisbane and I (Nat) was invited to go aboard on a ship inspection along with several dozen other travel agents.

Rhapsody of the Seas, November 2013 (Pt I)

We'd heard great things about Rhapsody of the Seas from fellow cruisers who had spent time on her, so we had been looking forward to this cruise. And we weren't let down - Rhapsody is a splendid ship.

Voyager of the Seas (Pt I), Oct 22 - Nov 5, 2012

We booked our cruise on Voyager of the Seas 198 days out and waiting for the boarding date was, at times, tortuous - like being a kid again, waiting for 'next Christmas' to arrive!

Voyager of the Seas (Pt II) - Ports of Call

The ports of call during our Voyager of the Seas cruise were as follows -

Singapore (not a port of call but we boarded Voyager there)
Pattaya (Laemchabang port), Thailand
Vũng Tàu (Phu My port), Vietnam
Port Hedland, Western Australia
Fremantle, Western Australia (not a port of call but we disembarked there)

Pacific Dawn, Feb 4 - Feb 11, 2012

This was our first P&O cruise and we didn't have to look far to find it, as the Pacific Dawn calls Brisbane's Portside Cruise Terminal its home.

What a day! Why you should book a hotel the night before you cruise...

If you have cruised before or about to take your first cruise, and you are not embarking in your home town, then you have probably read somewhere or been told by your travel agent it is a good idea to have at least one night pre-cruise accommodation.

Food, glorious food...cruising and your waistline!

For those of you reading this who are seasoned 'cruisers', you'll know all about the weight gain once on board (let's refer to it as WG from here on in, so it's not staring us in the face!). For those of you about to embark on your first cruise, listen up...

Repositioning Cruises: an enticing proposition

One of the best ways to get a great bargain with an unusual itinerary is to try a repositioning cruise (which isn't as naughty as it sounds!)

Travelling as a Senior? Read on...

Many Seniors no longer rely solely on the Government Pension to get them through their latter years and are better prepared financially these days and have more of an ability to travel.
